Renovating a kitchen can be an exciting yet challenging endeavour. It requires careful planning, attention to detail, and the expertise of skilled professionals to bring your vision to life. When Mandy and Tim decided to replace the kitchen in their beautiful new home in Clarkville, after initial plans to just update it, they got in contact with Sarah at Palazzo Kitchens Christchurch.
Little did they know that their new kitchen would become a centrepiece, gracing the pages of NZ House and Garden magazine.
For their previous property, Mandy and Tim had worked with Palazzo’s designer Sarah, so they knew who to call on when it came time to design their new spacious country-style kitchen. Our talented team ensured they paid attention to detail into every aspect of the kitchen's design, resulting in a space that seamlessly blends functionality and aesthetics.
At the heart of the kitchen is the central island, perfect for morning coffees with their six adult children, or having breakfast with some of their eight grandchildren. The front of the island features a striking black lacquer finish, mirroring the black accents in the entry foyer. This design choice creates a sense of cohesion and harmony throughout the home. To add a touch of elegance and warmth, Mandy selected a trio of pendants which she painted in gold, casting a soft glow over the entire kitchen.
One of the standout features of the kitchen is the use of Sylt cabinetry, a shaker-style door front designed by Nobilia. The Sylt door front style is a classic Shaker look, known for its timeless appeal. It comes in honed white, honed ivory, and black lacquered finishes. In Mandy and Tim's kitchen, the Sylt cabinetry in black was chosen to create contrast and a modern-country look, while still complementing the rest of the home.
The Sylt door fronts are versatile and can complement both character homes and new builds. Their clean lines and attention to detail add a touch of sophistication to any space, and create a classic look that will stand the test of time and will continue to impress for years to come.
The kitchen created for Mandy and Tim's home in Clarkville is not just a functional space but a stunning centrepiece. With its spacious layout, country-style aesthetics, and the homeowners' beautiful finishing touches, it's an ideal space for entertaining friends and family. Whether it's preparing a meal, gathering around the central island, or simply enjoying the warm ambiance, this kitchen is sure to leave a lasting impression.
